The apple grilled is a delicacy made from puff pastry and applesauce. I always steam my applesauce. Apples are not waterlogged like in boiling and they retain a lot of flavor. It is a very regressive and very gourmet dessert or snack.
The extra thing:
- It’s even better with homemade puff pastry like here .
- Add the seeds of a vanilla bean or vanilla sugar to the cooled compote.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla or almond ice cream or whipped cream for a super delicious dessert.
Ingredients
300 g puff pastry | |
2 apple golden type | |
1 egg yolk | |
1 tsp apricot jam |
Instructions
1
|
Peel and seed the apples. Cut into large pieces. Steam them 10 minutes maximum. Mash the apples with a fork or potato masher. Reserve in the refrigerator.
|
2
|
Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
Roll out the dough (mine was rectangular), cut out 1/3 of the dough vertically. Separate the bands. |
3
|
Spread the applesauce on the larger strip, leaving a little less than 1cm overhang.
|
4
|
The “diamond roller” will make it possible to obtain the mesh.
Pass the roller over the 2nd strip of dough to obtain a trellis. |
5
|
Place the trellis on the 1st strip containing the compote.
Fold the edges by pinching inwards delicately. Brown with egg yolk. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes. |

|
Let cool on rack. Heat (cool) the apricot jam and cover the Grilled with a brush. Cut in the width. To serve.
