Introduction

Welsh cakes are small Welsh cakes with raisins, a little shortbread, melting and really greedy. The dough is not complicated to make, cooking in a pan is very simple and practical. These are cakes to take with tea or coffee.

Ingredients
500g flour with baking powder | |
75g sugar | |
250 g unsalted butter froid | |
150g raisins | |
1 egg | |
1 tsp 4 spice mix | |
3-4 tbsp of milk | |
3 tbsp icing sugar |
Instructions

In a bowl, mix the flour, spices and icing sugar.
Cut the butter into pieces and add it to the flour. Work the butter with your fingertips with the flour to make a thick homogeneous powder. |

Add raisins and egg. Work the dough with a fork.
Incorporate the milk to obtain a slightly soft dough without working it too much. |

Roll out the dough on a work surface to a thickness of about 1cm.
Preheat the pan (or griddle) over medium/low heat. Cut out the cookies using a cookie cutter. |

Arrange the biscuits on the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Renew until exhausted. Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve. |
